When will my course be reported to the state?

Do you report my courses?

How do I set up a proctor appointment?

Does my exam need to be proctored?

How do I reset my password?

On the Student Log In page, you can select the Forget Password link and enter in the email address associated with your account. This will generate an email to the email address we have on file with your password.

What is today’s promo code?

Why won't my courses load?

Why is my course expired?

For information regarding the course expiration policy, please review our Terms & Conditions. If your course does expire, you may repurchase it at a 50% discount for 30 days following the expiration. Please note: a repurchased course does not carry over progress from the expired course.

What is the refund policy?

The CE Shop is committed to student satisfaction. If you are unsatisfied for any reason, The CE Shop will refund the purchase price of any course if the refund request is submitted within thirty (30) days of purchase, prior to course expiration, and the course is not more than fifty percent (50%) complete.

Regarding Exam Prep Edge, The CE Shop will refund the purchase price of any Exam Prep Edge product if the refund request is submitted within thirty (30) days of purchase and if the initial assessment has not been completed.

The CE Shop does not offer price adjustments on previously purchased items.

What does "seat time" mean?

Some states require a minimum amount of time to be active in the course, which can be seen in the upper-right of your course.


Do I have to complete all the course material?

From the table of contents in any course, you can view the percentage of course content that you’ve completed, as well as the time you’ve spent in the course. In order for us to issue a completion certificate, your course must be 100% complete. If applicable, the minimum time required for your state must also be fulfilled, and the final exam passed.

How do I start my course?

In the upper right-hand corner of our website, select My Account and enter the email address and password that is associated with your account. Once you log in, you'll be redirected to the account page. From this page, you can launch the coursework. If you are already logged in, select My Account. From this page, you can launch the coursework.

What are your hours of operation?

We are open 6 days a week via phone, email, and instant chat. Our hours of operation are Monday – Friday: 7 AM – 8 PM CT, and Saturday: 9 AM - 3:30 PM CT.

What are my payment options?

We accept the following credit and debit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. We do not accept gift cards, checks, or cash.

What is the process for reasonable accommodations/ADA accommodations?

The CE Shop provides reasonable accommodations for disabilities. Testers must provide 7-10 business days notice in order for their accommodation to be properly processed. Read our ADA Accommodations.

What is your refund policy?

The CE Shop is committed to student satisfaction. I forgot my login information. What do I do?

There are several ways to retrieve your login information.

  • You can access the registration email that was sent to you when you created your account. Your login information was included in this email.

  • On the Login or Register, you can select the Forgot Password and enter in the email address associated with your account. This will generate an email to the email address we have on file with your password.

  • You can Contact Us to obtain that information.

How do I update my email address?

In order to change your email address, you will need to Contact Us or use our chat feature by selecting the purple icon in the bottom right of your screen during business hours

Courses

Can I use my tablet or phone to take the course?

Yes, you can use your phone or tablet. Please note you must use a PC for proctoring if your state and education require proctoring for your final exam.

Mortgage courses are not to be consumed or taken on any device other than a desktop or laptop computer.

Which browsers are compatible with your courses?

Our online courses require an internet connection of 56K modem or greater, at least 800x600 screen resolution, sufficient memory to run system software, and an internet browser.

Compatible browsers:

  • Windows: include Google Chrome version 35 or newer, or Mozilla Firefox version 4.0 or newer

  • macOS: the current version of Safari, Firefox, or Chrome

  • iPad & iPhone: for best results use Chrome, Firefox or Microsoft Edge

  • Android tablet: Google Chrome version 35 or newer (not necessarily the default browser)

  • Windows tablet, Google Chrome 35 or newer, or Mozilla Firefox 4.0 or newer.

  • Internet Explorer is no longer supported.

We highly recommend using Google Chrome for the best experience. It is always a good idea to update to the most recent version of your browser for an optimal experience.

How do I sign up for courses?

There are two ways to sign up for our courses:

  • Order online: You may go through the purchase process directly online. Select the state you are licensed in to access the course catalog page. Next select the course/package that best fits your needs and proceed through the checkout process. If you are licensed in multiple states, you can purchase additional certificates by clicking the blue "Add certificates for other states" link. We will then have you login to your account (if you are an existing student) or have you create an account (if you are a new student). The last step in the process is to enter your credit card information and submit the order. If you need assistance navigating or finding your needed education, Live Chat is available.

  • Order via phone: You may contact our Customer Support team at 888.827.0777 and sign up with us over the phone.

How do I order a course?

The CE Shop offers two easy ways to order courses:

  • Ordering online: Click the state you wish to take courses in from the dropdown Select Your State button on the green bar near the top of the screen on the homepage. Select your courses and click on proceed to checkout. The system will prompt you to log in as a returning customer or to register as a new customer. If you are licensed in multiple states, you can purchase additional certificates by clicking the blue "Add certificates for other states" link.

How are your courses delivered?

Our courses are delivered online, at your convenience.

How soon can I start my course after I purchase?

Courses are available to start immediately after purchase. You can access the courses directly from your account online.


Do you offer any corporate packages or bulk billing?

I am licensed in multiple states. Can I take courses that will count for multiple license states?

Yes, you can! You can purchase an additional certificate for each course that is approved in a state in which you are licensed. There are two ways to purchase additional certificates:

  • You can purchase additional certificates when you purchase courses. First, add the course or package to your cart. While on the cart page, click the blue "Add certificates for other states" link. In the popup, select the additional certificate you need. Proceed through the checkout process.

  • You can also purchase additional certificates within a year after completion of a course, or until parent course expiration, whichever is less. Select the button 'Purchase certificates for another state' and proceed through the process.

How do I continue where I left off?

To start a course, select My Account or Log In in the upper right-hand corner. This will bring you to your main account page. You will then select "Open Course" and have the option to continue where you left off.

Can I print out a copy of the course?

There is an option within each CE course to access the instructional material and download it as a PDF. You can download/print the instructional material from the "Course Content" section in the Table of Contents. The instructional material is provided as a supplemental study resource and is not meant to replace the online course (except for CA courses, which can be taken online or as correspondence). All slides and activities must still be completed within the online course and seat time requirements must still be met (where applicable).

The state of Minnesota does not allow for Minnesota instructional material to be printed.

How do I know when my course is complete?

From the table of contents in any course, you can view the percentage of course content that you’ve completed, as well as the time you’ve spent in the course. Yes! There is a final exam at the end of each course. This is to maintain the integrity of the online course work and to ensure that you have read and retained the information. Do I have to complete the course all in one sitting?

All courses are self-paced, allowing you to start and stop at your convenience. Make sure to click "Exit Course" to save your progress before leaving.

Can I start and stop my exam?

No, the final exam must be completed in one sitting. If you exit, the exam will time out and you'll encounter a resume error requiring support to resolve.


How long after I enroll do I have to complete my courses?

For information regarding the course expiration policy, please review our Terms & Conditions. You can see the expiration date for each course listed in your account. All course material, including the final exam, must be completed prior to the expiration date. Courses expire at 11:59pm CST on the date of expiration.


How do I get my Certificate of Completion for the courses I have completed?

After completing the course, you will need to complete a survey and digital signature to obtain the certificate of completion.

First, you will add your license number and expiration date to your account. (Note: The license expiration date must be in the mm/dd/yyyy format).

After adding your license, you can complete the digital signature process.

There are two ways to obtain your Certificate of Completion:

  • The certificate is attached to the completion email that is sent to the email address on file once the course is complete.

  • On your account page, select the "Completed" tab. Select the course name to expand the details about the course. On the right-hand side, select "Download" and the completion certificate will download to your device and open. Note: The certificate opens as a PDF file, so a PDF viewer is required.

Real Estate

Do you offer Real Estate Pre-Licensing courses?

What is reciprocity?

Real estate reciprocity is the ability of a real estate license earned in one state to be used in other states. Reciprocity rules vary by state, and it can be a complicated system to navigate on your own. But don't worry! The CE Shop has created a guide explaining reciprocity and breaking down the process for obtaining real estate license reciprocity in each state.

Does my state have reciprocity with other states?

The requirements for transferring a real estate license to another state vary, and each state can decide whether to offer full reciprocity, partial reciprocity, mutual reciprocity, limited reciprocity, or none. Mortgage

What is the course format for your mortgage Continuing Education courses?

Our mortgage Continuing Education (CE) courses are delivered in an online self-study format through our learning platform, LEAP. Lessons are made up of text and activity slides, bringing the learning experience to life through real-life scenarios and case studies.

NMLS has not approved courses for use on small hand-held electronic devices such as iPad, iPhone, tablets, phablets, smart phones, etc. Courses are not to be consumed or taken on any device other than a desktop or laptop computer.

What is BioSig ID?

BioSig ID is a biometric, four-character gesture password that is unique to each student. The biometric gesture software measures the unique way in which a user moves their mouse, finger, or stylus when they log in using their biometric password. It’s similar to the way you sign your name on an electronic credit card machine. The unique drawing pattern eliminates the risk of an impostor logging in as you. How do I reset my BioSig password?

The NMLS resource has a video and an article explaining how you can reset your BioSig password. If you’re having difficulty getting the password reset code, this NMLS article can help.

How do I renew my mortgage license?

All active MLOs must take 8 hours of approved NMLS CE per year in addition to any state-specific course requirements. After completing their required CE, individuals are able to complete annual attestation that their record is up to date, pay their annual NMLS processing fee, and submit and pay for any renewal requests required by their state regulators. This is all done by the student through their NMLS account. Verify your state’s requirements here.


How do I renew my mortgage license if I am licensed in multiple states?

If you are renewing in multiple states, you only need to take the NMLS-approved national course once. Then, complete any CE courses required in each of the states where you are renewing. Verify your state requirements here.

How do I find my NMLS ID number?

To find your NMLS ID number, click the Log in to NMLS button in the upper right corner on the NMLS Resource Center. Enter your username and password, then click the Log In button. You will be asked to accept the Industry Terms of Use. After logging in, click Composite View in the upper right corner. Then, click View Individual on the top sub-menu. This will pull up your personal information. Your NMLS ID will be listed as the Individual ID.

When will my courses be reported to NMLS?

NMLS requires all course providers to report course completions within seven calendar days, and The CE Shop reports course completions within this time frame. Course completions will not immediately be reflected in the NMLS system once they are submitted and may take additional time to process. Please take this into consideration when deciding when to complete your course(s).

How do I view the courses I’ve completed with The CE Shop?

In the upper right-hand corner of our website, select My Account and enter the email address and password that are associated with your account. Once you log in, you'll be redirected to the account page. On this page, you can scroll to the Completed Courses section to view a list of all courses you’ve completed.

How do I view courses that have been reported to NMLS?

Every state-licensed MLO or person with a NMLS ID number has access to their course completion record in NMLS. The record contains a history of all completed NMLS-approved education. The record also displays the number of hours required for specific licenses and any outstanding requirements. What happens if I do not complete my courses before they expire?

Bookstore

Can I order a physical book to go with my course? How long will it take to receive my order?

Shipping times for physical books will depend on the shipping option the student chooses. We offer three options: FedEx Ground, FedEx 2-Day, and FedEx standard overnight.

Appraisal

What is the expiration policy for appraisal?

Qualifying Education: The CE Shop’s QE courses expire six months after the date of purchase. Each student will be granted a one-month extension at no charge, to be applied immediately after the initial six-month term. For any reactivation or extension of the course after the seventh month, The CE Shop will charge the student 20% of the current retail price of the course for each 30-day extension or partial 30-day extension in the event that the course finally terminates before the end of the final 30-day extension. Students may also elect to re-enroll for 50% of the current retail price of the course if the course has hit the year expiration or the student is at the 7-month mark and wants to repurchase and restart the course and enrollment. Extensions or reactivations cannot be granted beyond 12 months from the purchase of the course since, in all events, the course terminates 12 months after purchase.

Continuing Education: The CE Shop’s continuing education (CE) courses expire six months after the date of purchase. Extensions cannot be granted beyond 6 months from the purchase of the course. The course terminates 6 months after purchase.

Does each state renew on a schedule? What is the license renewal process for each state?

The license renewal process can vary in each state, but in most cases, students have to send a record of their completed education to the state appraisal body via mail or online.


Are biometrics required?

No biometric requirements.

Are additional certificates available?

No.
