The Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) has the same basic requirements to become a mortgage loan originator in all 50 states and U.S. territories. This entails a 20-Hour NMLS-Approved Mortgage Loan Originator Pre-Licensing (PE) course. Students enrolled in this online instructor-led have their course start date plus 12 full calendar days to the complete the course. Students are expected to begin the course on their selected start date, follow the course schedule as outlined in the syllabus, and complete the course on the course end date.
