About 40% of students across Colorado are eligible for free or reduced lunch, according to the Colorado Department of Education. But what do the children of those low-income families do when the weekend rolls around?
The CE Shop helps tackle that problem by supporting Food For Thought, which provides backpacks filled with food to children at 72 schools in the Denver area.
Just $5 is enough to feed a family of four for the weekend.
The staff of The CE Shop is incredibly committed to fulfilling one of the company's core values, "We give back," by supporting children and families in the Denver metro area, where the company is headquartered.
Since 2014, The CE Shop has chosen to support this cause because, as a leading provider of online education, the team believes that school-aged children should be able to focus on learning rather than worrying about where their next meal will come from.
