New Jersey Reciprocity Requirements
The New Jersey Real Estate Commission (NJREC) does not offer formal licensing reciprocity. However, if you’re a real estate agent licensed in another state and wish to sell real estate in New Jersey, you can expedite the process.
To see if you qualify for pre-licensing education credit, you’ll first need to complete the Salesperson Education Waiver Application. New Jersey will review your pre-licensing education history and make a determination on how much additional education (if any) you’ll need. Some applicants are able to completely waive the education portion, while others may need to take supplementary courses (often less than the 75-Hour New Jersey requirement).
To help meet these requirements, The CE Shop offers a 15-Hour Salesperson Remedial Education Course, which can be applied toward your education needs. This course is designed to streamline your path to licensure and ensure you’re ready to succeed in New Jersey’s real estate market.
