Topics covered in this course include Fair Housing, Broker Administration and Management, Business Planning, Human Resources, Document Preparation and Contracts, Offer and Counter Offers, Finance, Trust Accounts, Risk Management, Advertising Laws, Valuation of Real Property, Property Management, Commercial Real Estate, and New Construction. This course also covers Alabama-specific topics including license law, Agency Relationships and Agreements and RECAD Law. Passing this course qualifies students to take the Alabama Real Estate Broker Licensing exam.
This course provides 60 hours of instruction in principles of real estate required of all applicants for a broker license in Alabama. The course prepares learners for the Alabama licensing exam and provides the practical business knowledge and foundation necessary to be a successful real estate broker in Alabama. Topics include:
Hours Required by the State: 60 hours
Licensing Exam: The licensing exam is administered by Pearson VUE. Registration for the state licensing exam is an entirely separate process from proctoring for your course final exam. For instructions to register for your state licensing exam Pearson VUE and further information, please click here.
Additional Licensing Requirement: There are additional licensing requirements to become a broker in Alabama. You can find those requirements here.
The CE Shop’s Offering: 60 hours
Reporting: The state requires course completions to be reported to the state. We will report your course to the state upon completion. Students may verify reported credits through the Commission website using thes state's CMAP instructions here.
Expiration Date of Course: The CE Shop’s Pre-Licensing courses expire one year after the date of purchase. Each individual course will have an expiration date listed in the student’s account.
Certificates: Immediately upon course completions, The CE Shop will provide students with an electronic copy of the course certificate of completion. Certificates will remain in your account for a minimum of five years, should you need additional copies at a later time. Please refer to your application to determine if you need to submit your certificate(s) of completion. Course completion dates are recorded using Central Standard Time. Please note that the date on your certificate of completion will reflect this.
Final Exam: Final exams must be passed with a minimum of 70% and may be taken a maximum of two times.
Proctored Final Exam: The state requires that your final course exam be proctored. You’ll need to schedule an appointment with an online proctor in advance. Upon passing the final course exam you will be asked to sign an affidavit verifying your identity as the student who completed the course and the final course exam.
