This course provides 7 hours of continued education instruction in appraisal economics and value. Topics include economic trends, cycles, factors of value, and indicators along with the principles of real estate marketability. This course also dives into market, insurable, use, and investment value, just to name a few. To wrap this course up, influence on property value including physical, geographic, economic, governmental, and social forces is also covered.
Connecticut State Requirement Details for Provisional and Certified Appraiser Continuing Education
Renewal Date: Licenses expire annually on April 30th. All continuing education hours must be completed between February 1st of an even-numbered year and January 31st of the even-numbered year two years later. The CE completion deadline is 3 months before the renewal deadline.
Hours Required by the State: 28 Hours
Beginning January 1, 2026, a Valuation Bias and Fair Housing Laws and Regulations course will be required for Continuing Education. The first time a Licensee completes the Continuing Education requirement for this course, the course length must be 7 hours. If a Licensee successfully completed an 8-hour course as part of their Qualifying Education, they have satisfied this requirement. Every 2 calendar years thereafter, the course length must be at least 4 hours. This new course requirement is included in the 28 total hours for a 2-year renewal.

Please refer to your application to determine if you need to submit your certificate(s) of completion. Course completion dates are recorded using Central Standard Time. Please note that the date on your certificate of completion will reflect this.
