State Requirements

This Live Online course is delivered via Zoom. After purchasing the course, you'll have access to register for the session of your choice. You have one year to register for and complete your course.

Because laws governing the practice of real estate change, it’s important to stay on top of current requirements for state and federal laws to ensure compliance. Staying in compliance reduces liability and prevents you from incurring penalties including, but not limited to, the suspension or revocation of your license. Florida Core Law covers a variety of topics including updates and clarifications on FREC’s most current rules and regulations specific to your successful practice of real estate.

This course meets the three-hour Core Law requirement for all renewing Florida real estate licensees.

Renewal Date: 3/31 or 9/30 every two years

Hours Required: 14 hours

Reporting: The state requires course completions to be reported to the state. We will report your course to the state upon completion. All courses must be COMPLETED AND REPORTED to the Florida Real Estate Commission, PRIOR to your license expiration date.  Please allow ample time to complete your course and for us to report your completion to the state, otherwise your license could go on inactive status. 

Expiration Date of Course: Course expiration dates vary by course. Each individual course will have an expiration date listed in your account. See Terms & Conditions for more details.

Certificates: Immediately upon real estate course completion, The CE Shop will provide students with an electronic copy of the course certificate of completion. Certificates will remain in your account for a minimum of five years, should you need additional copies at a later time. Please refer to your renewal application to determine if you need to submit your certificate(s) of completion with your renewal. Course completion dates are recorded using Central Standard Time. Please note that the date on your certificate of completion will reflect this.

Final Exam: Final exams must be passed with at least an 80% and may only be taken once. If the exam is not passed the first time, the licensee must re-enroll (at no cost) and retake the entire course, including the final exam.

License Renewal Process: The process to renew in this state is to log in to the licensing system online and follow the prompts to renew.
