If sitting down to write a business plan seems like a waste of time, consider how children bowl. Often the bowling alley will place bumper guards along the side of the lanes to prevent the ball from veering into the gutter. These keep the ball in the lane. And while they don’t guarantee a strike, they do increase the likelihood of some pins falling, and they keep the ball headed in the right direction. Having a plan also avoids the frustration of miss after miss, because it makes it much more likely that your efforts—because they’re focused—will pay off.

In this course, you'll explore various strategies for successfully and strategically building your business through the use of business plans, innovative marketing strategies, real estate-specific systems and software, and the latest technology and social media trends.

In separate modules, this course looks at everything from developing a budget that will help you achieve your goals to creating a mobile office. More specifically:

In Business Planning, we will discuss how to create a detailed business plan—your ultimate roadmap to success.
In Building Your Sphere of Influence, we will explore different strategies for growing your business, with an emphasis on building relationships, not leads. We will also look at how to build a sphere of influence business plan that will work in tandem with the broader business plan you will be creating in the first module.
In Assisting Buyers and Sellers, we will look at best practices for client service to help you work more efficiently and effectively in meeting the goals you set for yourself in your business plan.
We also cover successfully Closing Transactions, and the intersection of Real Estate and Technology.

Florida State Requirement Details for Real Estate Sales Associate Post-Licensing Education

Hours Required by the State: 45 hours within 18-24 months after obtaining the initial license.

Please note: All courses must be COMPLETED AND REPORTED to the Florida Real Estate Commission, PRIOR to your license expiration date. Please allow ample time for course completion and reporting to the state, otherwise your license could go on inactive status.

Reporting: The state requires course completions to be reported to the state. We will report your course to the state upon completion.

Expiration Date of Course: Course expiration dates vary by course. Each individual course will have an expiration date listed in your account. See Terms & Conditions for more details.

Certificates: Once The CE Shop has received the signed affidavit, your certificate of course completion will become available to download (and via email). The CE Shop will provide students with an electronic certificate of completion, upon completion of the course. Certificates will remain in your account for a minimum of five years, should you need additional copies. Please refer to your license application to determine if you need to submit your certificate of completion with your license request. Course completion dates are recorded using Central Standard Time. Please note that the date of your certificate of completion will reflect this.

Final Exam: Final exams must be passed with a minimum of 75% and may be taken twice in order to pass. If the exam is not passed the second time, the licensee must re-enroll at no cost (by contacting customer support) and retake the entire course, including the final exam. Licensees will be allotted 1.8 minutes per question. Licensees have up to 1 year, after failing the first exam to complete a second attempt.
