This course provides 96 hours of instruction in essential real estate topics required of all applicants for a salesperson license in Kentucky.
The course prepares learners for the Kentucky licensing exam and provides the practical business knowledge and foundation necessary to be a successful real estate salesperson in Kentucky. Topics include the real estate principles, real estate law, brokerage management, real estate finance, real estate marketing, property management, real estate investment, real estate appraisal, home inspection, real estate auction, construction and blueprints, land planning and zoning, commercial real estate, urban planning, and advanced appraisal topics.
Kentucky State Requirement Details for Real Estate Sales Associate Pre-Licensing Education
Hours Required by the State: 96 hours
Licensing Exam: The licensing exam is administered by PSI. Registration for the state licensing exam is an entirely separate process from proctoring for your course final exam. For instructions to register for your state licensing exam and further information, please click here.

The CE Shop LLC is licensed by the Kentucky Commission for Proprietary Education.
Reporting: The state does not require schools to report course completions.
Expiration Date of Course: Course expiration dates vary by course. Each individual course will have an expiration date listed in your account.
The CE Shop’s Pre-Licensing courses expire one year after the date of purchase. The CE Shop will allow students to purchase a new course at a 50% discount of the current retail price of the new course. Each individual course will have an expiration date listed in the student’s account.
Certificates: Immediately upon course completions, The CE Shop will provide students with an electronic copy of the course certificate of completion. Certificates will remain in your account for a minimum of five years, should you need additional copies at a later time. Please refer to your application to determine if you need to submit your certificate(s) of completion. Course completion dates are recorded using Central Standard Time. Please note that the date on your certificate of completion will reflect this.
Proctored Final Exam: The state requires your final exam to be proctored. You’ll need to schedule an appointment with a proctor in advance. You can find full details of the proctoring process here. Upon passing the final course exam, you will be asked to sign an affidavit verifying your identity as the student who completed the course and the final course exam. Final exams must be passed with a minimum of 75%. A student is not allowed to take the final examination more than 3 times, unless the student retakes the sales associate pre-licensing course. A student may retake the final examination no earlier than the fourth day following the date of a failure.
Max Hours in a 24-Hour Period: Licensees will not receive credit for more than 9 hours of pre-licensing education in a 24-hour period. Our online course delivery system manages this requirement for you.
