This course provides four hours of continued education in Appraisal Technology and GSE Appraisal Review. In this course we will explore the relationship between Government-Sponsored Enterprises (GSEs) and their review of ethical and legal standards and emerging technology. The review of appraisals can be a significant part of an appraisal business and understanding what technological tools are available to you and your professional limits will help make the process less daunting.
Topics include appraisal review for GSEs like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and integrating multiple appraisal approaches for valuing complex properties. You’ll learn how to use emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence and data analytics, to improve the appraisal review process. This includes re-evaluating appraisals for accuracy and fairness, ensuring compliance with GSE standards, and addressing potential biases. A significant portion also covers the legal, ethical, and professional standards in the appraisal industry as they relate to the review process and technology use. Altogether, this course equips you with the tools to conduct thorough and unbiased appraisal reviews.
