The State portion of the test is balanced as follows:
5% of the test is dedicated to the Powers of Alaska Real Estate Commission. This section covers investigations, sanctions, recovery funds, and penalties. 5% of the test also covers real estate licensing, like the activities required to acquire a license and more about changes in licensing status. The majority of the test (76%) covers day-to-day topics such as how compensation works, prohibited conduct, and licensee relationships and duties. Finally, 14% of the test covers miscellaneous topics like common interest ownership and the Landlord & Tenant Act.
